Omega Soft Kids DHA chews provide a convenient way to supplement with the essential fatty acid DHA without the hassle of swallowing softgels or taking liquids. These great tasting, sugar free, natural orange flavored chewables are produced in Norway via a patent-pending emulsion technology that allows for the creation of a delicious omega-3 supplement that does not have the "fishy" taste someones associated with marine lipid supplements.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Do I need to refrigerate the Omega-3 product once I have opened the package?
No, there is no need to refrigerate this product. Store the package out of direct sunlight and away from humid environments such as your bathroom. Do not open the single-serve portion until ready to consume, as the product will oxidize and become "fishy" when exposed to air.

What are EPA and DHA?
EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) Omega-3 fatty acids found in fish oil are vital nutrients for humans.  They naturally occur in fish and seafood and work together in the human body.  Because EPA and DHA cannot be synthesized by humans, they must be consumed through diet or supplements.

There is an urgent call for increased consumption of EPA and DHA as thousands of published clinical research trials illustrate how the decline in dietary intake of these omega-3s is adversely affecting our health and longevity today.

Omega-3 EPA and DHA intake is strongly related to longevity and survival.  In fact, low intake of EPA and DHA along with high intake of salt and trans fats are the top 3 dietary factors most closely related to mortality today. Furthermore, consuming a minimum 250 mg EPA and DHA (500 mg total) per day has been shown to significantly improve survival in adults with and without known heart conditions

I've heard that ALA is an omega-3. Why is ALA not included in Advanced Omega-3?
ALA (alpha linolenic acid) is an omega-3 fat found in plants, (e.g.  walnuts and flax).  ALA does not perform the same biological functions as EPA and DHA, and while it is considered a precursor to longer chain EPA and DHA, research indicates it converts poorly (about 5% to EPA and less than 1% to DHA) and is not a reliable source of EPA and DHA.

My child is allergic to fish. Is it OK for me to give them this product?
No. It would not be advisable for your child to take Omega Soft Kids DHA if they are allergic to fish.
